Felicity’s new film Like Crazy premiered at the Sundance Film Festival yesterday to rave reviews, the film has already been picked as the first major deal of the festival and has been sold to Paramount Pictures. This means that is is likely to appear in cinemas for the general public sometime later this year!
Critics are including some brilliant reviews about Felicity’s role, hailing her as this years Carey Mulligan – her successful co-star from Northanger Abbey who has has a wonderful year in the industry thus far.
According to Mr. Doremus, Ms. Jones (living in London) made an audition tape of herself doing a scene from the script — a shower scene — and sent it to Mr. Doremus, who was in Los Angeles. She was immediately cast in the role. He promised the choice of scene had nothing to do with the decision.

Felicity has been cast in another film for 2011 titled Cheerful Weather for the Wedding. She will take on the main role of Dolly and is currently filming the production in Wiltshire!
I have added the first still from the movie to our gallery.

Felicity has been cast in a new BBC 2 crime thriller, according to digitalspy.co.uk!
BBC Two has announced an all-star cast for its new thriller Page Eight.
The show, which is David Hare’s first original screenplay for 20 years, will feature actors including Bill Nighy, Rachel Weisz, Judy Davis, Michael Gambon and Ralph Fiennes.
The drama follows Nighy’s character Johnny, a long-serving MI5 officer who is shocked when his boss and best friend Benedict (Gambon) dies suddenly, leaving him a mysterious file.
Meanwhile, Johnny has a seemingly chance encounter with his next-door neighbour Nancy (Weisz), a political activist. Eventually he ends up walking out of his job and “out of his identity” to find out the truth.
The cast also includes Ewen Bremner, Felicity Jones, Tom Hughes, Alice Krige and Saskia Reeves.
Hare said: “The last decade has been as testing as any in the history of the British intelligence community – the compromises and dilemmas they’ve faced in the new century make a fascinating story. I’m thrilled to be working with such an extraordinary ensemble of great actors.”
Filming for Page Eight will begin this month and the film will air later this year.
As you can see we now have a brand new layout up at Captivating – this time made by me, and featuring a picture of Felicity in Cemetery Junction. I will be working on new looks for the gallery and video archive shortly. I hope you all like the new layout!
Be in with a chance to see Felicity’s new film Like Crazy – it looks like it’s creating quite a buzz in the film industry!
One of the biggest draws at this year’s Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, later this month is the romantic dramedy “Like Crazy.” It premieres on Saturday, Jan. 23, in the cavernous 1,700-seat Eccles Theater at the festival, and as of now, the premiere screening is sold out.
So you can buy your ticket to Park City and get on the waiting list to possibly get a last-minute seat at the screening. Or you can stay in Madison and see it at Sundance Cinemas five days later.
Last year, the “Sundance Film Festival USA” program brought eight films to eight cities around the country, along with their filmmakers, just days after they premiered at the festival. Madison was lucky enough to get “The Runaways,” and as a bonus, former Runaways lead singer Cherie Currie was at the sold-out Madison screening.
This year, we get “Like Crazy,” on Thursday, Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. at (naturally) Sundance Cinemas, 702 N. Midvale Blvd. Filmmaker Drake Doremus (who premiered the unforgettably titled “Douchebag” at last year’s festival) and a couple of other filmmakers will be present at the Madison screening. And I’ll be moderating a post-show discussion with them.
While “Douchebag” was a wry, improv-heavy comedy with a bitingly honest heart, “Like Crazy” seems to be a real tonal departure for Doremus. It stars Anton Yelchin (Chekov from the “Star Trek” reboot) as an American college student who falls in love with a Brit (Felicity Jones) while in Los Angeles. After college, the pair are forced into a cross-continental long-distance relationship that really puts their love to the test.
Tickets for the Madison screening of “Like Crazy” are $15 and are on sale now at the Sundance box office or through sundancecinemas.com. It should be a memorable night.
I have added a lovely short film Felicity was recently involved in to our video archive:
A beautiful piece exploring the friendship of two women in a small Yorkshire town, Played by Glenna Scacchi Morrison and Felicity Jones. Elegantly shot by DP Ed Wild on 16mm, the film went on to win awards at two major film festivals.
Written and directed by Claire Ingam, Hearing Things is a Jerwood prize winner.
Produced in association with Big Cat Films (UK), a predecessor to Guvnor Fims (US).
I have added a clip of Felicity and her co-star discussion Soulboy to our brand new video archive! More clips will be added shortly.
The very kind Nancy has sent us 2 more Chalet girl stills we were missing from out gallery. The trailer for the film is now in cinemas, attached to the likes of The Tourist – who else is looking forward to February the 18th?

A new still from Like Crazy has been released and added to our gallery, isn’t it pretty?
