Welcome to Captivating Felicity Jones the most up-to-date and largest Felicity Jones fansite. Felicity has received worldwide recognition for her role in festival hit Like Crazy and has appeared in Chalet Girl and Northangar Abbey. She is also currently the muse of dynamic fashion duo Dolce and Gabbana.
Filming for their new project, Jonah Hill and Felicity Jones showed up to shoot scenes for “True Story” at an outdoor locale in New York City yesterday, March 20th.
True Story is a drama centered around the relationship between journalist Michael Finkel (Hill) and Christian Longo (James Franco), an FBI Most Wanted List murderer who for years lived outside the U.S. under Finkel’s name. The film will be released in 2014.
Following on from our previous update it sounds as though Felicity will not be in the upcoming film Jack Ryan after all. It has been reported that Keira Knightley is now officially in talks for the role.
Not to worry though, Cheerful Weather for the Wedding and Hysteria will soon be hitting our screens and are sure to be entertaining enough!
Cheerful Weather for the Wedding premieres tonight at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Felicity’s attendance hasn’t been confirmed or denied. She’s about to begin shooting The Invisible Woman so she may not be there. Hope she makes it.
Anyway, here’s a clip from the film featuring Felicity as Dolly and Luke Treadaway as Joseph:
Sony Pictures Classics has debuted the official trailer for Tanya Wexler’s Hysteria on Yahoo, set for release in New York and Los Angeles on May 18th and in Australia on the 12th of July. Starring Maggie Gyllenhaal, Hugh Dancy, Jonathan Pryce, Rupert Everett, and Felicity Jones, the romantic period comedy is based on the true story of how Mortimer Granville came up with the world’s first electromechanical vibrator in the name of medical science. With Dancy playing the ambitious doctor, Everett his partner and co-inventor, and Gyllenhaal as a free-spirited woman who becomes his close friend, the trailer shows off a humorous, if fairly uninspiring, film where Felicity Jones again steals the small amount of time she has on screen. A charming period comedy, watch the trailer below!

Hysteria, a mischievously inspired romantic comedy set in the late 19th century, is based on the surprising truth of how Mortimer Granville came up with the world’s first electromechanical vibrator in the name of medical science.
Nancy Meyers is juggling a couple projects for her next directing slot. One she has committed to is The Chelsea, a script that was written by Hallie Meyers-Shyer. She is the daughter of Meyers and her ex, filmmaker Charles Shyer. Like Crazy star Felicity Jones is attached to star, and the film is being packaged by Meyers’ reps at WME.
It’s described as an ensemble dramedy set in the Chelsea Apartments in New York City. Meyers-Shyer is an up and coming scribe who’s being signed to a blind deal by Universal Pictures. Meyers, who last directed the Meryl Streep comedy It’s Complicated with Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin, will put together cast on the film before it is set up with a distributor.
WME reps Meyers and Meyers-Shyer, while CAA reps Jones. The British actress, who won a Gotham Award for her charming performance in Like Crazy, was selected by Warren Beatty to be the young female lead in his Howard Hughes movie, but Beatty is still putting that project together.
I posted a picture of the cover a few weeks ago. Here are some low quality pictures from Felicity’s editorial.
I’ll be posting HQ scans ASAP.
In a romantically geared interview, Felicity reveals the qualities her perfect suitor must possess, her favourite reads and her understanding of Italian beauty.
This is very exciting. Ralph Fiennes is putting together an excellent team for this project.
WestEnd boards The Invisible Woman, Kristin Scott Thomas joins cast, Fiennes to star as Dickens and direct
Kristin Scott Thomas will play alongside Ralph Fiennes and Felicity Jones in anticipated period-drama The Invisible Woman, which Fiennes will also direct. The UK shoot is set for April 23.
Adapted by Shame and Iron Lady writer Abi Morgan from Claire Tomalin’s acclaimed biography, the film tells the true story of the secret love affair between Charles Dickens and his mistress Nelly Ternan. Fiennes will star as Dickens, Felicity Jones (Like Crazy, Hysteria) will play Ternan and Scott Thomas, her mother Mrs Ternan.
WestEnd Films has boarded international sales and will co-finance with BBC Films and the BFI. Headline Pictures (Stewart MacKinnon and Christian Baute) and Magnolia Mae (Gabrielle Tana) are producing.
The film will follow the illicit affair beween the young actress Ternan and the married Dickens. Nelly and her family are initially drawn into Dickens’ world when they take part in one of his theatre productions but Jones’ character soon becomes the focus of the writer’s passion. However, she must lead a life of secrecy and invisibility in order to protect the infamous writer’s reputation.
The creative team behind the film will include Shadow Dancer and Blitz DoP Rob Hardy, Oscar-winning costume designer Michael O’Connor (The Duchess, Jane Eyre), production designer Maria Djurkovic (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Hours), hair and makeup designer Jenny Shircore (Elizabeth, My Week With Marilyn) casting director Leo Davis (The Queen), and editor Nicolas Gaster (Moon).
Fiennes’ directorial debut Coriolanus screened in Competition at the 2011 Berlinale, where this year The Invisible Woman will be among the hottest projects for buyers in the market.
Both Fiennes and Scott Thomas were Oscar-nominated for their performances as fateful lovers in Anthony Minghella’s 1996 epic The English Patient, which carried off nine Oscars.
Also, according to Deadline, it appears that Peter Morgan (The Queen, Frost/Nixon) is polishing the script:
Fiennes is acting in the new James Bond movie Skyfall, after which he hopes to direct The Invisible Woman, the story of Charles Dickens’ secret teenage mistress. Peter Morgan is polishing the script while financing is still being closed; Felicity Jones (Like Crazy), one of three women who didn’t make it through to the final five for this year’s Rising Star, will play the lead.
